eyes and ears across the neighbourhoods

Introduction:
The Sentinel is a monthly Newsletter for East Reading comprising:
Redlands; University; Newtown (the three East Reading Police neighbourghooids) and also the bordering neighbourhoods of North Whitley and North Katesgrove.
 
The Newsletter is sent to: members of Neighbourhood Watch; Watch Coordinators; Police teams and PCSO's for all areas; local Councillors; Campus Security and other affiliated agenicies and local organisations.
 
Contents:
These contents of each months include such things as: 
1.  Ringmaster news bulletins/warnings etc from the Police.
2.  Area Problem Visual Audits (APVA's) by 'The Sentinel' conducted each week in various batches of roads in the Redlands area.
3. Feedback between members.
4. Any news from local police teams and/or police partner agencies.
5. National police news/developments.
6. Upcoming events.
7. PCSO surgeries and activities.
8. Telephone numbers of police officers/agencies.
9. Latest Thames Valley police projects/operations.
10. Feedback from the PCSO's.
11.  Feedback from University Neighbourhood Forum.
12. Home security advice/tips/links/literature.
 
Mission Statement
The aim is to inform residents; work with the police and support their work; help fight crime; provide a network and exchange mechanism for Neighourhood Watch schemes and other groups such as Reisidents Associations; work together to reduce crime and improve the environment.

It is not a police or neighbourhood watch publication but an independent crime fighting and police support publication
