Neighbourhod Watch is now an integral part of Community Policing and the war against crime to make our streets safe.

Police and Community are no longer separate. Both are part of strong partnership- via the Neighbhourhood Watch to squeeze

- Liaison and meetings with the Inspector and Sergeant of the East Reading Police team.
- Regular contact and meetings with the Neighourhood Specialist Officers (beat bobbies)
- Reporting all incidents and suspicious behavour immediately to the police.
- Immediate dissemination of police warnings, information and suspect descriptions to all households.
- Check our streets for untaxed vehicles and abandoned vehicles.
- Regular checks for grafitti and early removal of such.
- Newsletter.
- Looking out for each others houses.
- Improvement to home security.
- Arrangments for police home security checks/surveys.
- Distributing police literature.
- Reporting parking infringements.
- Reporting anti-social behaviour.
- Liaison with the University Community Relations Manager and Campus Security Manager.
- Cooperation with and partcipation in (via Stephen Cox) the Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG).
